Kajian Dalam Bidang Ilmu Perpustakaan dan Informasi: Filosofi, Teori, dan Praktik

aspect of information literacy to reflect the idea of using information to
learn in a social and cultural collaborative environment (Spiranec and
            Zorica, 2010).
Wang (2010) applied sociocultural theories to explore the experience
of librarians and students in the curricular integration of information
literacy. The purpose of this research was to reveal how information literacy
can be systematically integrated into higher education curricula as well
as to propose a model for curricular integration of information literacy.
The research revealed that librarians, lecturers, course coordinators, head
of faculties and students are the key stakeholders for the success of the
integration (Wang, 2010). By interviewing librarians and students from four
universities the researcher developed an information literacy integration
            model.

                                      V. SUMMARY
Altogether the findings from these studies provided further evidence
that portrays the complexity of information literacy, and a dynamic
practice that acts as an accelerator to learning in all everyday life contexts.
More specifically studies within the educational, workplace and everyday
life directions have provided knowledge about how and why information
literacy manifests itself in different contexts, as well as affirmed the
importance of discussing the phenomenon of information literacy within
the context in which it is experienced. These discourses of information
literacy also revealed that different information modalities may exist within
            an information landscape
