            study to move beyond skills and behaviour and to show the complexity
            and nuanced elements of information literacy. Bruce offers an alternative
            to  the  skill-driven  approach  where  information  literacy  is  described  in
            terms of competences rather than skills. Andretta (2012) added this idea
            by mentioning that it is the competences that required to complete the task
            when people’s learning.

                Grounded in the results of this study Bruce developed a “relational
            model  of  information  literacy”  which  consists  of  three  components:
            descriptions  of  information  literacy,  information  literacy  education  and
            information literacy research. This model is presented in figure 1.  The
            key aspect to this model is the focus on information users, not information
            experts.  Equally important is that the model does not seek to measure
